Sony Westerns Ride Onto Blu-ray in June

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced a trio of westerns including The Professionals, The Missing and Broken Trail will gallop onto Blu-ray Disc June 10.

The Professionals was originally pre-announced for Blu-ray over a year ago before it faded off Sony’s radar and into release date purgatory. Now it’s definitely back on track with a widescreen 1080p transfer and some form of 5.1 audio, most likely Dolby TrueHD but as-of-yet unconfirmed. Supplemental features are as follows.

  • Memories from “The Professionals” featurette

The Missing has seen multiple releases on DVD and now prepares to make its high-def debut on Blu-ray. The Cate Blanchett, Tommy Lee Jones and Evan Rachel Wood remake will be presented in widescreen 1080p video, 5.1 audio, and run 137 minutes.
