Universal Studios Home Entertainment has announced the sci-fi alien invasion flick Skyline will arrive on Blu-ray Disc and DVD on March 22. The release date is likely timed to coincide with the theatrical release of Sony’s alien invasion film Battle: Los Angeles.
Skyline starring Eric Balfour struggled at the box office in November with $21.4 million domestically and $55.2 million worldwide. The Brothers Strause were able to make the effects-laden film for a mere $10 million which makes the box office tally appear stronger and keeps the odds of a sequel surfacing alive.
On Blu-ray, Skyline will receive a 1080p transfer and 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio. D-BOX will also likely be included on the disc though that is unconfirmed at this time. Bonus features include:
- Deleted and Extended Scenes
- Alternate Scenes
- Pre-Visualization
- Trailers
- Feature Commentary with Directors Greg and Colin Strause
- Feature Commentary with Co-Writer/Producer Liam O’Donnell and Co-Writer Joshua Cordes
Pre-order Skyline on Blu-ray for $27.99 at Amazon.com.
