Showtime will ride the success of Dexter well beyond season three by renewing the show for a minimum of two more seasons.
After the conclusion of season three, currently airing exclusively on Showtime, production on season four will begin next spring on season four in Los Angeles for a fall 2009 premiere.
The cycle will then repeat itself in 2010 for season five. Both seasons four and five will run 12 episodes each.
On January 6, Dexter will make its high definition home video debut on Blu-ray Disc. The season one set is currently pre-order for $37.95 at Amazon.com which you can secure a copy of by clicking here.
