Saving Private Ryan Sapphire Series Blu-ray Details and Cover Art

Paramount and Dreamworks Home Entertainment have released the full details on the May 4 debut of Steven Spielberg’s Saving Private Ryan on Blu-ray Disc.

As we previously confirmed, Saving Private Ryan is being slotted into Paramount’s prestigious Sapphire Series line. The feature film will be on one disc and the bonus features on a second.

Over three hours of bonus features from the previously released DVDs have been ported over but none will be offered in high definition. Only a pair of trailers will receive the HD treatment and there appears to be no newly created features for this release.

  • Into the Breach: Saving Private Ryan—A 25-minute documentary with the cast and crew.
  • Shooting War—Tom Hanks hosts and narrates this documentary on WWII combat photographers in Europe and the Pacific theater of war.
