Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, amongst others, are headed back into Twilight active duty for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 re-shoots.
Within the past several years, the term “re-shoot” has become synonymous with a troubled production. That’s usually not the case as most Hollywood films must endure a re-shoot after editing reveals a few scenes that could use a different angle, tweaked acting, or inserted new scenes to help the story along. The necessity for re-shoots in no way condones a film to imminent failure.
With a franchise the likes of Twilight and the importance of the final chapter to its fans, director Bill Condon took to Facebook and announced the re-shoots before paparazzi learned of it and ran wild with rumors about a potential “troubled production.” Condon labeled the new shots as the “last tiny pieces” to create the final puzzle that is Breaking Dawn Part 2. He claims there are no new scenes being shot, only “technical work” that will include some of the cast and a few stunt actors.
Amongst those returning for the re-shoots are Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart who, according to Condon, will “pop in those gold contacts one last time.”
To help divert any last lingering thoughts of a troubled production in case his message was misinterpreted, Condon claims it won’t be “too long” until a new Breaking Dawn Part 2 trailer is released. The first one that premiered in front of The Hunger Games was barely a teaser, so the next should – in theory – reveal much more of the film.
November 16 is the big day for Twihards when The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 starring Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner brings the saga to a close.
