Quantum of Solace has a North American Blu-ray Disc and DVD release date that matches rumors floating around cyberspace for the past few weeks: March 24. We won’t be the first country to get our hands on this disc.
The second Bond film starring Daniel Craig and first to be released by MGM has release dates in other countries literally all over the map. The dates shake out as follows: Australia (March 18), UK (March 23), Netherlands (March 25), Sweeden (March 25), Spain (March 25), Italy (March 25), Italy (March 26), Germany (March 27), Mexico (March 27), Switzerland (March/May), France (May 13), Japan (June 16), Brazil (June 24 retail, March 23 rental).
If you recall, Quantum of Solace arrived in France theatrically weeks ahead of its North American debut. Funny how the tables turn for the home video release.
Blu-ray specs for Quantum of Solace include a widescreen 1080p transfer and 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio.
MGM is not including a single Blu-ray exclusive bonus feature but is presenting every extras in high definition.
