Original article (October 14, 2012): Joseph Gordon-Levitt got a workout filming the bike scenes in Premium Rush, and you will get to see how much peddling he had to endure when the low-tech chase flick makes its way to Blu-ray and DVD on December 21.
Premium Rush stars Gordon-Levitt as a New York City bike messenger who ends up being chased by a bad cop (Michael Shannon) after being tasked to deliver an envelope given to him by his girlfriend’s roommate. An extended harrowing chase ensues through the streets of NYC as the reasons behind it are slowly revealed. Co-starring are Jamie Chung, Dania Ramirez and Aasif Mandvi.
The Premium Rush Blu-ray release date comes from a new pre-order listing at Amazon.com. Sony Pictures Home Entertainment is expected to formally announce the title as early as this Monday.
