A little over a week ago Stan Lee took to Twitter and announced that Spider-Man producer Avi Arad told him his cameo for the film was locked in and that it would appear during an action scene. Lee of course wasn’t willing to offer specifics on the scene, but the cat may already be out of the bag.
Nuke The Fridge has been tipped by what they are referring to as a “very good source” claiming Lee’s cameo will take place during a climatic battle between Spider-Man and the Lizard inside a school library. Lee would portray a librarian fixing up some books when the fight breaks out.
This rumored cameo fits right in with Lee’s tease about being involved in an action scene. It also directly calls out The Lizard as Spidey’s villain in the film, a character whose presence has yet to be confirmed by Sony or anyone within the production.
Evidence, confirmed or otherwise, continues to mount in favor of The Lizard. Stan Lee just might get to see him up close and personal.
