The Phoenix Suns NBA basketball team are known to have movie outings when stuck in another city awaiting an away game. One of the films the team watched last month was none other than James Cameron’s Avatar.
Apparently the Na’vi made quite the impression on guards Steve Nash and Leandro Barbosa as well as forward Jared Dudley. Inspired by the king of the world and further proof that Avatar’s pop culture status is growing exponentially, the trio put together this absurd Avatar spoof video while flying between cities that is hard not to chuckle at.
That’s currently injured Sun Leandro as a “Bar’Bo’Sa” with Nash behind the camera and Dudley in a supporting actor role. Starting center Robin Lopez is the target of a Bar’Bo’Sa scare while backup guard Goran Dragic looks generally perplexed when spotting the Bar’Bo’Sa for the first time.
The best part? This is actually “…to be continued.”
