Syfy is looking to inject some potential humor into next year’s first season of Battlestar Galactica spin-off Caprica by adding comedian Patton Oswalt to the cast.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Oswalt will play a Caprican talk show host given at least one chance to interview Daniel Graystone (Eric Stoltz) and Amanda Graystone (Paula Malcomson). His role is described as “recurring” though no information is given into if/how he might figure into the story beyond the interviewer’s chair.
Caprica is currently in production in Vancouver with a January 22, 2010 premiere date. The two-hour pilot is now available on DVD.
