It looks like Passengers on Blu-ray isn’t going to leave the gate on time.
Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has confirmed the Anne Hathaway vehicle has been delayed from March 24 to May 12.
Passengers limped to a less than $300k domestic box office take with a limited release in only approximately 125 theaters nationwide. It fared better internationally by breaking the $2 million mark but still came up short of expectations considering the draw of stars Anne Hathaway and Patrick Wilson.
The premise is certainly intriguing, centering around Anne’s character who is a grief counselor working with the survivors of a plane crash that mysteriously begin disappearing after the “accident.”
Sony is presenting Passengers in widescreen 1080p video and 5.1 Dolby TrueHD audio. Bonus features are as follows.
