As we suspected, the scoop at TVShowsonDVD.com proved to be 100% accurate as Paramount Home Entertainment has announced Michael Bay’s Transformers is coming to Blu-ray Disc on September 2 in a two-disc set.
Fans griping about the lack of lossless audio on the HD DVD version last fall can lay their fears to rest. Paramount is including 5.1 DolbyTrueHD and 5.1 PCM uncompressed audio options to compliment a 1080p transfer.
New on the supplementals side is a trailer for the Blu-ray release of Iron Man later this year. BD-Live content will be included which may or may not differ from the online content found on the HD DVD. The full list is as follows, all presented in HD.
