Paramount Home Entertainment is aiming to double your True Grit pleasure by releasing the original 1969 western starring John Wayne, Glen Campbell, Kim Darby, Robert Duvall, Dennis Hopper and Jeremy Slate on Blu-ray Disc December 14. The Coen brothers’ remake of True Grit starring Jeff Bridges and Matt Damon arrives in theaters 11 days later on December 25.
The True Grit Blu-ray release will include a commentary by Jeb Rosebrook, Bob Boze Bell and J. Stuart Rosebrook; True Writing; Working with the Duke; Aspen Gold: Locations of True Grit; The Law and The Lawless; and the theatrical trailer. Confirmed audio includes the original mono track.
