Onkyo Unveils Blu-ray Friendly TX-SR606 Receiver with 4 HDMI Inputs

Onkyo has announced the new TX-SR606 a/v receiver, a mid-line feature upgrade of the successful TX-SR605.

The TX-SR606 will feature four HDMI-1.3a 1080p compatible inputs, an increase of two over the previous model. Owners will be able to fill those slots with an Xbox 360 Elite, PS3, Cable Box, and standalone Blu-ray player or PC.

All 7.1 channels of the TX-SR606 will run at 90 watts. More importantly for Blu-ray owners, decoding for DTS-HD Master Audio and Dolby TrueHD is supported.

Other features include Remote Interactive control over HDMI (RIHD), Audyssey 2EQ automatic room correction, and Sirius Satellite Radio-ready.

The TX-SR606 will be available in black or silver, retail for $579 and be available in stores this month.
