Online retailer DVDEmpire.com has begun taking Blu-ray Disc pre-orders for Night Watch and its sequel, Day Watch. According to the pre-order listings, both are scheduled for release on September 9.
Fox has yet to officially announce either of these titles so please consider this a pre-announce only at this time. These titles could easily be moved or removed from the schedule at any time.
Night Watch and Day Watch are part of a planned trilogy by Russian filmmaker Timur Bekmambetov. Each film represents a group of people who must patrol either the day or night to keep tabs on the “Others,” vampire-like beings with supernatural powers.
Night Watch and Day Watch on Blu-ray each carry an SRP of $39.98. We’ll pass along an official announcement with specs and cover art as soon as its released.
