Just in time for the start of the 2012 NFL football season, the NFL and Sony have announced that that NFL Sunday Ticket service will once again be available for the PlayStation 3.
The NFL Sunday Ticket service started last year, and allowed fans without access to DirecTV to purchase the season-long package and watch up to 13 out-of-market NFL games a week live on their PS3. What is even better news is that the 2012 price is $299.95, down from the $340 of a year ago. No word yet if the PSN will break that down into monthly installments (as they did last season), or make it a one time charge.
NFL Sunday Ticket also includes the popular Red Zone, which switches to any and every game where a team is within 20 yards of the endzone and about to score.
The service is expected to go live September 4.
