Ridley Scott’s return to Sci-Fi with Prometheus is one of the most anticipated films of the summer and also one of the most secretive. I tend to take note when something new comes along, especially when it comes in bulk.
Today Entertainment Weekely unleashed a total of 17 new Prometheus images. They’re a mix of still from the film, publicity shots and behind-the-scenes looks at the production in process.
The images provide our first up-close-and-personal look at several of the cast members in their Weyland-Yutani outfits as played by Michael Fassbender, Noomi Rapace, Charlize Theron, Logan Marshall-Green, Kate Dickie, Sean Harris and Idris Elba. Scott even pops up in a couple of the shots including an artistic one while in deep thought with Rapace just behind him.
Joining the 17 new Prometheus is a new featurette called “Origins.” In it, Scott and writer Damon Lindelof talk about the premise of the film revolving around the concept that life on earth was seeded by extraterrestrials. Scott has no doubt that there is biological life on another planet, and Prometheus examines this concept and what it means to mankind.
The bottom line is “Origins” will want to make you see Prometheus even more. Most of you will have to wait until June 8 to do so.
