The jigsaw puzzle that is Christopher Nolan’s Inception with Leonardo DiCaprio has a few new pieces in place with a new IMAX poster and viral game that opened up this third and by far best trailer.
The game is called Mind Games and forces you to draw a path from point A to point B and then traverse that path – which is turned into a maze – in a prompt fashion while people chase after you. The game is cheesy but the reward is mind blowing. A high-def version is hopefully just around the corner.
The new Inception trailer is the first to unravel the plot that deals with “a crime in the mind.” That’s all I’ll say as what’s explained in the trailer is slightly spoilerish for anyone who wants to go in raw. Though you could watch it in mute and enjoy the bending visuals without ruining the plot surprises.
This trailer should shoot Inception to the top or near top of just about everyone’s top movies for summer 2009. It’s throwing out that Matrix vibe and we all know how that turned out. Inception. July 16. Don’t miss it.
