Car personalization has been absent from the Need for Speed franchise, however Need for Speed: Rivals developer Ghost Games has brought it back for the latest entry in the racing series.
Watch the new Need for Speed: Rivals trailer below to see car customization in action. Online play, which Need for Speed: Rivals heavily promotes, will benefit from riders whom have customized their car’s colors, rims, decals, liveries and even license plates. I almost cringe to think what some of those license plates will read.
Customizing cars also extends to the law where police cars can be modified at will. In addition, there are different levels of cop cars to unlock; from patrol to enforcer, and even undercover. Players who side with the law will be able to equip their cars with pursuit technology to un-level the playing field.
Need for Speed: Rivals has a November 19 release date on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. It is also coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
