EA’s Need for Speed Rivals raced into stores today for the freshly released PlayStation 4 console, a full four days before it will be available to play on any other platform. With Drive Club delayed into 2014, Need for Speed Rivals is the lone driving game early PS4 adopters have access to.
Need for Speed Rivals is powered by the Frostbite 3 engine, as if the slick launch trailer below didn’t give that away already. As with the goal of many next-gen games, Need for Speed Rivals has a new feature called AllDrive that aims to blend single player, cooperative and online multiplayer experiences together with seamless in-game transition between them.
The Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of Need for Speed Rivals will be available to purchase beginning November 19.
