Electronic Arts has announced NASCAR 09, the annual entry in the ongoing racing series, has shipped to stores for Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and Playstation 2.
NASCAR 09 features four-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Champion Jeff Gordon who will appear in the game as a guide and mentor through career mode.
Taking notice of the growing casual gaming trend, EA has built in normal and pro modes to cater to hardcore gamers and casual drivers alike.
Utilizing the new Paint Booth feature, players will be able to customize their cars from putting it together to applying the final coat of paint.
Paint Booth features online connectivity that allows players to download skins from EA’s servers and import them into the game. For further customization, the skins can be imported into Photoshop for the ultimate “no boundaries” designs.
Any custom skin created by a player will appear on the player’s car when racing on Xbox Live or the Playstation Network against friends.
