On the heels of Image Entertainment releasing The Who: Live at Kilburn on Blu-ray Disc this past month, Eagle Rock Entertainment has confirmed a second The Who live performance will receive a Blu-ray Disc treatment.
On February 24, Eagle Rock will release The Who: Live At The Isle Of Wight Festival as originally recorded in 16mm film for Murray Lerner’s movie of the festival. Eagle Rock has restored the audio and video of this film “to the highest possible quality” for high definition on Blu-ray.
In addition to a restoration, new exclusive bonus features have been put together for this release. Included are “Substitute,” “Naked Eye” and a new 40-minute Pete Townshend interview.
The Who: Live At The Isle Of Wight on Blu-ray will retail for $24.98. High resolution cover art and pre-order information should be available in the near future.
