‘Monster House’ Headed to DVD and Blu-ray in October

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will release the CGI film ‘Monster House’ on both DVD and Blu-ray Disc October 24.

At this time, we do not have a comprehensive list of additional material or disc specs for either release. What we do know is both versions should be stacked with extras including plenty of behind-the-scenes and making-of material.

By our count, ‘Monster House’ falls in line as the second* CGI animated film to released on either Blu-ray or HD-DVD. So far, the following animated films have been announced:

  • Dinosaur (Blu-ray, Buena Vista, September 19)
  • Corpse Bride* (Blu-ray, Warner, September 26)
  • Monster House (Blu-ray, Sony, October 24)
  • Ice Age: The Meltdown (Blu-ray, Fox, November 21)

* Corpse Bride is not a CGI feature, though many consider it to be an animated film

‘Monster House’ will carry an SRP of $28.95 on DVD and $38.95 on Blu-ray.
