Microsoft Unveils First Wave of Xbox One Entertainment Apps

Microsoft Unveils First Wave of Xbox One Entertainment AppsTo compliment today’s Xbox One entertainment features video, Microsoft has revealed the Xbox One apps that will be available to install on the console’s November 22 launch in North America.

It is important to note that none of these apps will come pre-installed on Xbox One. It will be up to the Xbox One owner to pick and choose which to install at any given time. First-party software apps including Xbox Fitness, Xbox Video, Xbox Music, Internet Explorer, SkyDrive, Skype, and Upload Studio will be available at launch on every Xbox One console in all territories.

The following list of Xbox One launch apps is for the United States. Other territories will have similar apps available. Note that HBO GO is listed as “coming soon,” and I’m sure it will be ready by the time Game of Thrones Season 4 gets underway in late March/early April 2014.

  • Crackle
  • CWTV
  • ESPN
  • FOX NOW
  • FXNOW
