Microsoft updated their official website this morning with an article explaining HD-DVD for newbies, as well as confirmation an add-on peripheral is coming soon for Xbox 360 that will allow the console to play HD-DVD movies. We’re also suspecting the peripheral will have an HDMI output jack based on this statement:
“…harness the power of the Xbox 360 console for the HD video outputs and digital surround sound .”
No pricing, availability or images have been released yet though we suspect they’ll all become available in the minutes following today’s Microsoft E3 press conference. And you can bet we’ll be there to bring you the scoop.
