MGM Plots Valkyrie for Blu-ray in May

Operation Valkyrie has been given a green light for execution on Blu-ray Disc May 19 dispelling earlier rumors of an April release time frame.

Valkyrie, directed by Bryan Singer, stars Tom Cruise as Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg, the man who led an assassination plot against Adolf Hitler during the waning days of World War II.

MGM is bringing Valkyrie to Blu-ray Disc in its original 1.85:1 aspect ratio at 1080 resolution with 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio.

Of the seven featurettes slated for the Blu-ray edition of Valkyrie five are exclusive; The other two are shared with DVD.
