Mel Gibson’s rumored appearance in The Hangover 2 has been confirmed by THR along with the actor’s role and where he’ll be shooting his scenes.
Gibson will play a tattoo artist living in Bangkok, Thailand where the film is set. He’ll actually shoot his scenes on the Warner Bros. lot in the very near future. Though the role is small, it is said to be “pivotal” to the film’s plot.
The original Hangover group of Zach Galifianakis, Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Justin Bartha are all returning for the sequel with one of them on deck to be inked by Mel. Ken Jeong is also expected to return in some capacity and figure into the group’s drunken misadventures.
The Hangover 2 is scheduled for release on May 26, 2011.
