Mad Max 4: Fury Road has stalled more times than the oldest jalopy in making it to the big screen over the past decade. Now news is beginning to surface that point towards a possible start date.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, producer George Miller is quoted as saying the film will go into production sometime in 2010 in Sydney, Australia and New South Wales, a move he says will put the area back on the map as a filmmaking destination.
Though an attached studio either doesn’t exist or is currently unknown and Mel Gibson is not mentioned in the piece, Fury Road is said to have a whopping $100 million budget. That’s big news for the film industry in Australia which recently lost The Green Lantern due to rising production costs down under.
