Blu-ray’s ever expanding library welcomed another multi-hundred dollar box set this evening when Amazon.com added an active pre-order listing for the first five seasons of Lost bundled together in one neat, tidy and expensive package.
Per the listing, Lost: Seasons 1-5 on Blu-ray will be available on December 8 which is the same day Buena Vista and ABC are releasing Season 5 as a standalone release.
Retail pricing has been set through the stratosphere at $349.95. Ironically Amazon pricing comes in at $244.99 which is the same pricing as the hot Battlestar Galactica: The Complete Series on Blu-ray.

No word yet on whether this Lost collection will be packaged in a unique case or whether the five standalone releases will be cobbled together in some kind of hard sleeve. I’ll pass along those details as soon as I have them.
The way Battlestar is flying off the shelves may have influenced ABC putting together what is, for now, the ultimate Lost home video collection. If my hunch is right then this won’t be the last monstrous Blu-ray set to hit stores before the year is out.
