Spoiler Alert — this article discusses plot points of the Lost finale.
Lost cast member Michael Emerson stopped by G4TV’s Attack of the Show last night (via ComingSoon) to talk about Lost and surprise us with a tidbit regarding the upcoming Lost: The Complete Collection Blu-ray and DVD release on August 24.
“Well, for those people that want to pony up and buy the Complete Lost Series, there is a bonus feature, which is, uhm, you could call it an epilogue, a lost scene,” Michael dished. “It’s a lot, it’s 12 or 14 minutes that opens a window onto that gap of unknown time between Hurley becoming number one and the end of the series.”
Many including myself have speculated that the Lost producers left the door wide open for a Hurley and Ben Linus spin-off should there be enough fan interest to carry those stories. I personally don’t think it’s a coincidence that of all the characters to choose from, two of the most beloved were passed the torch.
Emerson addressed the very topic of a spin-off series, “It’s self-contained, although it’s a rich period in the show’s mythology that’s never been explored, so who knows what will come of it.”
Watch Emerson give these remarks in the G4 clip below.
