Lindsay Lohan Finally Inks Elizabeth Taylor Role in Lifetime Movie

Lindsay Lohan Finally Inks Elizabeth Taylor Role in Lifetime MovieLindsay will play one of Hollywood’s biggest icons when she assumes the role of the late Elizabeth Taylor in the upcoming Lifetime movie biopic Liz & Dick. That is assuming she can keep her personal life in check between now and the end of production.

Liz & Dick chronicles the famous love affair between Taylor and another screen icon, Richard Burton. They were the Brad and Angelina of their time, two powerful celebrities who came together and took Tinseltown by storm. The part of Burton has yet to be cast.

Lifetime Networks has been pursuing Lohan to play Taylor in the biopic for months. During the negotiations, Lohan was either in court, in jail or out on probation. Her turbulent lifestyle most recently landed her court-mandated community service that she just wrapped up prior to signing the Liz & Dick deal. Even after numerous run-ins with the law, Lindsay is reportedly still living it up after hours in Los Angeles.

Even though Lohan has nailed the part, it’s still early to proclaim she is on the comeback trail. Her performance on Saturday Night Live several weeks ago drew high (curiosity) ratings, but was torn apart after the fact.

There is a chance this part could steer Lohan’s career on the right path. Christopher Monger is penning the script, the same man who wrote Temple Grandin and helped nab Claire Danes (Homeland) a Golden Globe award for her part.

Lindsay Lohan will step in front of the cameras as Elizabeth Taylor for the first time when principal photography commences in June.
