Kiefer Sutherland Updates 24 Movie; Hoping in Shoot in April or MayJack Bauer’s big screen debut took one step closer to becoming a reality after 24 star Kiefer Sutherland updated the project at the Television Critics Association press conference this past weekend.

In speaking with the press, Sutherland confirmed that the planned 24 movie is still moving forward. The current plan is to begin shooting in April or May, though Sutherland didn’t seem 100 percent confident yet that the target date would be hit.

While chatting with CraveOnline after the press conference, Sutherland said the current 24 movie script is a direct continuation of the show. More specifically, the story picks up less than 6 months after where the 24 television series finale ended.

The reason Sutherland was on the mic is for his return to the small screen in Fox’s new drama Touch. In the new show, which debuts in a special sneak preview on January 25, Sutherland plays a single father whose son is incapable of verbally communicating with people normally, but can connect with the world via touch.
