Tween girl magnet Justin Bieber is stepping away from the music scene to guest star in the upcoming new season premiere of CSI.
The CBS announcement describes Bieber’s Jason McCann character as a troubled teen confronted with a difficult decision that involves his sole brother. This arc will not wrap up in the premiere, instead resurfacing later in the season with Bieber appearing then as well. CBS did not offer how many additional episodes Bieber is slated to appear in.
Bieber’s turn at CSI follows in the footsteps of Taylor Swift who guest starred on the show a little over a year ago. That appearance clearly had no ill effects on her musical career after she became the first country artist to win an MTV Video Music Award a few months later.
