Join the ‘Turistas’ on Blu-ray Disc in April

Update: Fox has confirmed ‘Turistas’ on Blu-ray will be the theatrical cut and not the unrated cut, despite “unrated” being printed on the cover art. That artwork is incorrect and we will replace it as soon as corrected artwork is received. Also, the extra features are confirmed to include an interactive trivia track and theatrical trailer only.

Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment has announced ‘Turistas’ will be available April 17 on Blu-ray Disc. The first American production shot entirely in Brazil stars Josh Duhamel (‘Las Vegas,’ ‘Transformers’), Melissa George (‘The Amityville Horror,’ ‘Alias’), Olivia Wilde (‘The O.C.”’) and Desmond Askew (‘The Hills Have Eyes’).

‘Turistas’ will be presented in 2.35:1 1080p video and DTS HD Master Lossless audio with an MPEG-2 encode on a BD-25 disc. The press release clearly states the Blu-ray version will be the theatrical cut; however, the just-released cover art clearly shows an unrated label. We’re currently trying to track down which is a typo and which isn’t. Also, a slew of extras including deleted scenes, commentaries and more featured on the standard DVD will not appear on the Blu-day Disc according to some more tricky wording from the press release, which again we will work on clarifying. Instead, a lone interactive trivia track will have to suffice.

‘Turistas’ on Blu-ray will carry an SRP of $39.98.
