Ahoy, mateys! After countless posters and several clips from Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, are you ready for even more Pirates publicity? You’re about to get it.
Later today, on May 5, Johnny Depp’s appearance on the Oprah Winfrey Show will air and with it comes a “big Pirates surprise” according to our Disney publicist. Usually these types of surprises are in the form of an exclusive clip. If that’s so, I’ll be sure to share it with you as soon as it makes its way online.
Given this is Oprah’s final season and anything goes, the “surprise” could be much more. Maybe everyone in the audience will win their own full-size Black Pearl with working cannons. Or maybe they’ll all get cameos in Pirates of the Caribbean 5 whenever Depp decides he wants to do it. On a more serious note, the audience will probably get to go to this weekend’s premiere or something along those lines.
As the publicist told us, whatever it is, “you won’t want to miss it.”
