John Mayer Live Blu-ray Gets Detailed

Sony BMG has provided us the full scoop on John Mayer’s upcoming Live in Los Angeles: Where the Light Is Blu-ray Disc release, due in stores on January 1.

Like past Sony BMG concert releases, they’ve spared no expensive when it comes to providing the best possible a/v presentation. You can expect to find a widescreen 1080/24p transfer and 5.1 Dolby TrueHD 96 kHz/24 bit and PCM (uncompressed) Stereo (96 kHz/24 bit).

Eager to dabble in the latest Blu-ray functionality, Sony BMG is including a BonusView and BD-Live feature. The complete list of supplementals are as follows.

  • BD-Live: Belief backstage performance (Internet connection and 57 MB of memory required)
  • BonusView: Who Did You Think I Was ” Steve Jordan & Pino Palladino Picture-In-Picture Experience
  • Slow Dancing on Mulholland Drive

John Mayer Live in Los Angeles was recorded on December 8th, 2007 at the NOKIA Theatre in Los Angeles. It includes 22 songs broken into three distinct sets: an acoustic performance, a rare set with John Mayer Trio (John Mayer, Steve Jordan and Pino Palladino), as well as a set featuring Mayer’s full band.
