In the fast few days we’ve seen Paramount Home Entertainment make two of the biggest holiday season Blu-ray Disc announcements: Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, and Iron Man.
Both of those announcements sent each title soaring to the top of Amazon.com’s Blu-ray bestsellers list as pre-orders poured in from around the world.
From the pre-orders we’ve picked up a fairly definitive trend. Blu-ray adopters want Iron Man in their collection more than they want the fourth Indiana Jones film.
As of this post, Iron Man controls the top spot on the Blu-ray bestsellers list while Indiana Jones sits in the second spot.
Over on the all-encompassing home video bestsellers list that includes DVD, Iron Man is nestled into the #8 spot while Indiana Jones is a few gallops slower back at the #16 spot.
The one title that will supplant them both is of course The Dark Knight, which we have a rumored Blu-ray release date of and will publish it a little later today. Stay tuned!
