Online retailer Amazon.com has begun taking early pre-orders for Iron Man on Blu-ray Disc without the benefit of a release date. They followed this same practice for Firefly: Season One on Blu-ray, also yet to receive a release date.
In less than 24 hours, pre-orders for Iron Man have catapulted the title into the #13 spot on Amazon’s home video bestsellers list. On the Blu-ray bestsellers list, Iron Man sits in the #3 spot trailing only the National Treasure One & Two Combo Pack and Rambo.
Paramount has yet to issue any information regarding when Iron Man might be released. The listing does tell us it will be a single-disc special collector’s edition, which typically translates to high-definition supplemental features.
Iron Man on Blu-ray carries an SRP of $39.99.
