Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced plans to release FilmDistrict’s Insidious starring Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne and Barbara Hershey on Blu-ray and DVD on July 12.
Insidious from director James Wan (Saw) was no joke at the box office when it was released on April 1 of this year. Made for a mere $1.5 million, the indie horror film exploded for $13.2 million its opening weekend and went on to complete its theatrical run at a whopping $52.4 million.
On Blu-ray, Insidious will include a trio of bonus features: Horror 101: The Exclusive Seminar; On Set With Insidious; and Insidious Entities. The high-def presentation will be in 2.4:1 1080p video and 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio.
