Injustice: Gods Among Us DLC Arrival Imminent, With a Caveat

Injustice: Gods Among Us DLC Arrival Imminent, With a CaveatOn May 7, the first DLC pack for WB Games and NetherRealm’s incredible DC Comics fighter Injustice: Gods Among Us will be ready to scoop up via the Playstation Network and Xbox Live. The DLC pack features a new playable character in Lobo, the intergalactic bounty Hunter, as well as two new sets of skins: Bad Girls and Teen Titans.

The skin sets are comprised of three skins each. The Bad Girls pack includes Wonder Woman #600 (her costume from the 600th issue of her comic), Selina Kyle (sans cat hood), and classic Harley Quinn. The Teen Titans pack includes comic book versions of Deathstroke, Cyborg, and Raven.

The skins are not part of the already for sale “season pass” (using the term very loosely, as the developers at NetherRealm and WB games apparently have no idea what Season Pass means) and will sell for $2.99 each, or some ridiculous mathematical formula used to determine the cost in MS points.

The “season-pass-that-isn’t-a-season-pass” promises three other playable characters, the second of which has been revealed to be Batgirl. Rumors are circulating that General Zod (from the Superman comics and the new Man of Steel film) and Scorpion, a character from NetherRealm’s Mortal Kombat series, are the final two characters to be released, with Scorpion making about as much sense as selling a ‘season pass’ and then charging for the additional DLC, which makes it par for the course in the mishandling of the whole thing.

Future DLC skin sets are promised, also separate from the “season pass.”
