Amazon.com has begun taking early Blu-ray Disc pre-orders for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, the latest Paramount title to appear at the retailer’s site before a street date or announcement is made.
Our current intel suggests Crystal Skull’s release date currntly stands at October 14. You can bet we’ll share the full announcement with confirmation when received.
At this time the first three Indiana Jones films are not available for pre-order on Blu-ray, further fueling debate whether Paramount will take advantage of the cross-promotion marketing opportunity with Crystal Skull or not.
Other early Paramount Blu-ray pre-orders Amazon has listed include Iron Man, currently scheduled for September 30, and The Love Guru.
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull on Blu-ray carries an SRP of $39.99.
