Late last week, Hot Toys announced that they will be producing 1:6 scale figures for three of the presumably unmanned armors featured in Iron Man 3 starring Robert Downey Jr.: Red Snapper (Power Pose), Heartbreaker (MMS Diecast), and Igor (MMS). The first of those figures, Red Snapper Mark XXXV (35), is now available for pre-order.
Red Snapper is one of the more unique Iron Man armors in that it stands unusually tall and the traditional arms have been replaced with giant claws. You can spot Red Snapper in the most recent Iron Man 3 trailers and TV spots as the various armors fly into the frame at night and stop right in front of the camera.
As part of the Power Pose series, Red Snapper only has limited articulation to help keep the costs down. It can move where it needs to in order to strike some great poses including movable and extendable arms, and movable claws. In total there are over 15 points of articulation with bendable neck, arms, thighs, knees and feet.
Another neat feature of Red Snapper is that the head is removable and it can be swapped out with the head from the Mark VII figure to achieve a different look, though it doesn’t look as if Tony ever wears the suit in the film.
