Homeland Season 2 Premiere: Watch the First 20 Minutes Now

Homeland Season 2 Premiere: Watch the First 20 Minutes NowShowtime will not air the Homeland: Season 2 premiere for just under three weeks, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get a head start right now.

To help promote the new season, Showtime has released the first 20 minutes of the Season 2 premiere ‘The Smile’ on the web. If you’re sensitive to spoilers then I suggest turning back now as everything from this point forward will be full of them.

Season 2 appears to pick up at least several months after the Season 1 finale that shattered the cast. Saul (Mandy Patinkin) is working in Beirut where civil unrest against the American Embassy has reached critical mass. Nicholas Brody (Damian Lewis) is a Congressman, and Carrie (Claire Danes) is living with her sister and working as a school teacher.

This new footage at least partially answers the big question that was left hanging at the end of Season 1. How will Carrie get back into the CIA fold? I won’t say it outright, but let’s just say her past work in the field will come back to haunt her.

Homeland returns to Showtime at 10/9c central following the Season 7 premiere of Dexter.
