Thanks to a super-early Amazon.com pre-order listing we’ve known HBO’s acclaimed miniseries John Adams would have an eventual date with Blu-ray. Now the first details about that release have come in including a release date.
HBO will release the complete John Adams miniseries starring Paul Giamatti on June 16 pitting it against Sony’s Ghostbusters.
The series will span three BD-50 discs and be presented in 1.78: 1080p video and 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio.
The box art, which you can view in high resolution by clicking through the disc details below, reveals a pair of “Blu-ray enhanced” bonus features: Facts are Stubborn Things, and Who’s Who in History. Our best guess is these are both Picture-in-Picture features that will be presented as standalone featurettes on the DVD edition.
