HBO Home Entertainment continues their strong support for Blu-ray Disc in 2009 by formally announcing the Iraq War miniseries drama Generation Kill is coming to Blu-ray Disc on June 16.
Generation Kill, based on the national best-selling book by Evan Wright, chronicles the Marines of the First Recon Battalion during the first 40 days of the Iraq war.
HBO is presenting Generation Kill on Blu-ray in its original 4X3 aspect ratio at 1080p resolution with 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio support across 3 discs.
Blu-ray exclusive bonus features include picture-in-picture “Basic Training” that allows viewers to access Military Glossary, Chain of Command of the 1st Recon Marines, and Mission Maps.
Additional bonus features shared with the DVD edition include Generation Kill: A Conversation with 1st Recon Marines; Making Generation Kill; Eric Laden’s Video Diaries; Deleted Dialogues and Audio Commentaries.
