Hide your children because Lady Gaga’s Monster’s Ball concert is coming to the small screen.
HBO today followed up Lady Gaga’s announcement on ‘The Tonight Show With Jay Leno’ last night by confirmed the singer’s upcoming ‘Lady Gaga Presents the Monster Ball Tour at Madison Square Garden’ will be taped in high definition during the Feb 21 and 22 shows for a May 7 debut on the pay subscription channel. The early summer timing coincides with the release of Lady Gaga’s ‘Born This Way’ album set for May 23.
HBO Entertainment President Sue Naegle said in the announcement that Lady Gaga will be creating “unique elements” specifically for the two shows being taped. How much more unique can you get than emerging from a giant egg at the Grammys? Knowing her show will be broadcast to millions via HBO should provide incentive for Gaga to out-do herself and make the rest of us scratch our heads in disbelief.
Thanks to Gaga expect HBO subscriptions and free trials to go up starting in early May.
