‘Hannah Montana 3-D Concert,’ ‘Camp Rock’ Coming to Blu-ray

According to new listings at online retailer DVDEmpire.com and subsequently confirmed, Disney and Buena Vista Home Entertainment are planning to dip into the teen market this fall on Blu-ray Disc.

On August 19, the studio will release Camp Rock: Extended Rock Star Edition, based on the hit Disney Channel show, and the hugely successful film Hannah Montana And Miley Cyrus Best Of Both Worlds Concert: The 3-D Movie — both day-and-date with standard DVD releases.

Camp Rock will be loaded with all kinds of teen-geared goodies which we’ve outlined below. It’s too early to pinpoint technical specs, but hardcore high-def viewers might have to settle for Dolby Digital 5.1 lossy audio on this one.

  • How To Be A Rock Star — Find Out What It Really Takes To Make It To The Big Stage
  • Jonas Brothers: Real Life Rock Stars
  • Introducing Demi Lovato — Get To Know The Newest Disney Channel Star
  • Camp Memories — Candid Shots Of Your Favorite Characters
  • “Hasta La Vista: From Rehearsal To Final Jam” — Barron & Sander Show How It All Got Done
  • “Too Cool: Setting The Stage” — Fun Behind The Scenes
  • Sing-Along And Karaoke Mode
  • Music Videos

Hannah Montana And Miley Cyrus Best Of Both Worlds Concert: The 3-D Movie will include a 2-D and 3-D viewing mode; The Ultimate Personal Tour documentary — spend a day with Miley Cyrus and The Jonas Brothers while they prepare for a show; and two exclusive songs — “Good And Broken” by Miley Cyrus; “SOS” by the Jonas Brothers. Audio will be 7.1 channels of surround goodness, but we’re unclear on whether the mix will be lossy or lossless.

Both titles will carry an SRP of $34.99 on Blu-ray. Check back regularly for high-res cover art, any additional supplemental materials, and pre-order links.
