Sony has announced that the first playable demo for the next chapter in the God of War franchise, God of War: Ascension, will be included on the Director’s Cut Blu-ray of 2012’s Total Recall remake. This includes the three-disc Blu-ray and DVD combo pack as well as the two-disc Blu-ray package.
The Total Recall Blu-ray and DVD release, as well as the attached God of War: Ascension demo arrival, is scheduled for December 18. The demo will be available exclusively on the Total Recall Blu-ray from the release date through January 8, 2013. The demo is expected, through unconfirmed, to be made available to everyone via the Playstation Network sometime after January 8.
This is the second time that Sony has used a high profile Blu-ray release to push a God of War demo after the District 9 disc included a playable demo for God of War III.
God of War: Ascension comes exclusively to Playstation 3 on March 12, 2013.
