Online retailer Amazon.com has begun taking pre-orders for Stephen Sommers’ G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra on Blu-ray Disc.
The anticipated though unconfirmed DVD and Blu-ray release date for the first of at least two live-action GI Joe films is currently November 3. Paramount is expected to make a formal announcement with a definitive release date within the next couple weeks.
G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra has earned nearly $300 million worldwide at the box office. Paramount has confirmed a sequel is in the works and speculation suggests filming could commence as early as next year.
