In conjunction with the Tokyo Game Show, Sony has announced previously titled ‘Genji 2’ has been renamed ‘Genji: Days of the Blade.’ As before, it will serve as a sequel to ‘Genji: Dawn of the Samurai’ with an impressive visual leap from Playstation 2 to Playstation 3.
We played this game for quite a bit at E3 this past May and while we weren’t blown away by the gameplay mechanics, it’s one of the better looking titles to appear in the hack-n-slash genre. In particular, fire effects look so good I was sweating from the heat. Or maybe that was the encroaching crowd waiting for their turn.
‘Genji: Days of the Blade’ is expected to be a Playstation 3 launch title in November, although no definitive release date has been announced.
